A re creation of Molière’s texts. A comedy that shows the world of hypocrisy that surrounds the main character, Argan, who keeps a wealthy treasure, which everybody wants to steal, hidden at home.

Argan keeps a treasure hidden in his house. His obsessive fear that somebody might steal it manifests in symptoms of poor health. These persistent problems make him consult Doctor Purgon, whom he trusts blindly.

Treasure

What Argan ignores is that Purgon is a slanderer who only wants to keep the money for himself- at all costs. For this purpose he counts on Argan’s wife , Béline, who is also his main accomplice. Both Purgon and Beline set a trap for Argan by inventing a fatal diagnosis so that he confesses where the money is hidden and leaves it to his wife in his will.

Toinette, Argan and Béline’s servant, knows the truth and, in order to help her master, she passes herself off as an illustrious doctor to challenge Purgon’s diagnosis. What’s more, she makes Béline believe her husband has died and fall into the trap of revealing her sheer hypocrisy.

Once the whole truth comes to light Argan starts living a new life, recognizing he’s a healthy man and overcoming his obsession with money.
